SBS Architects have worked in partnership with lancashire County Council , Merseytravel and Merseyrail to conceive a redevelopment proposal that gives Orkskirk Railway Station a a renewed public profile, contemporary services infrastructure and operational strategy.
Addressing the buildings day to day functional requirements as a heavily used rail station via the practical integration of innovative design solutionshas been central to the design process.
To ensure compliance with the current Department of Transport design guidelines the design team have worked in parallel with network Rail in order to achieve a high level of design and specification.
