Stalybridge Station

The existing ticket office was located within a single storey flat roofed extension to the original Station building, within the corner of the car park with links through to the subway and ramps up to platform level.

The client’s brief was to replace the existing facility within the single storey area with a new structure to a higher standard reflecting aspirations of the client and passenger expectations. The enhanced facilities include a ticket office, staff facilities and store along with a new public ticket hall. The frontage should seek to rationalise the pedestrian access arrangements and provide a fully DDA compliant and clear entry point to the station.
